It's that time in my life where I say good-bye to one phase and prepare for the next one....Yay!

Good-bye people!!!

Thank you if you've been visiting this page regularly for the past 3 years

I'm leaving the blog as it is. Memories, touched only by time.

Thank you M, it has been a great love affair......

It was hard to imagine how it'd be at first. I was shy, hesitant, even afraid.  My family had left for home- Malaysia. My bf, likewise. I was alone.

Never mind that I've known you for close to 4 years now. It's true what people have said and are still saying- that you are famous for being unpredictable, erratic, moody- something I've learnt to love AND hate at the same time. What they left out was that you had a sunny disposition as well and could calm me like a gentle breeze, wash over me like water droplets on the first rosebud. I also know only too well that you can lash out with the fiercest fury and whip around my tiny frame at any time.

How could I fight you, how could I?

Sometimes I wanted to run far,far away from you but  when I've been in your company for a while- a tad bit longer from whence I began doubting myself, whether I could actually do it, I start to learn to love you again.

Your mystique draws me close, keeps me entranced. There are so many hidden secrets I still need to unveil but with every discovery I am surprisingly delighted. You may be old, but I see immaturity- room to grow and to improve.

Your intense, smouldering heat makes me melt.

I love you now. I love you.............. Now.

Btw, Happy Chinese Year Everyone.....Gong Xi Fa Cai!

'It was then that I realised that my birtday celebration was only just beginning. Sweet.'

Thinking that all I wanted to do was chill at home and then catch a movie with friends, I ended up helping Julia and MingYew put the birthday candles on my 'surprise' birthday cake. LOL. Let me tell you the story.

To sidetrack a little..... 'Memoirs of a Geisha' = excellent. I usually cannot watch movies that are longer than 1.5 hours owing to a horribly short attention span, but this was one of the movies which made me stay glued to my seat for 2 hours and 40 minutes. It was touching to the core and it wasn't till the end when Cezzane told me that I looked sad that I realised that there were a few tears in my eyes (I seldom cry at movies too!!!!)

OK, back to the topic. So after the movie we all went for dinner at Stalactites- which took forever to give us our food. I think we were there for about 1.5 hours, and they only had to give us souvlaki ie: precooked already wan la. It was at the end of the meal around 11 that Julia called and asked me to go home because..............they had a cake waiting for me at home. So sweet...my surprise bday cake!!! And I had to get home immediately because haih, pantang ma if after 12. Hehe

But it was so funny because I already knew, and when I got home with Cez, I helped them put candles on my cake and then the 3 of them started singing me 'happy birthday'. Oh boy that was one funny moment, but very touching indeed- I absolutely loved it. Funny because normally it's a gajillion people singing happy birthday...so having my own private little choir was a-w-e-s-o-m-e!! Couldn't stop laughing. Thanks guys, you made my day. HugHugHug.

Yay, all done!

The lovely people who made it possible.

What can a girl wish for?

Just look at the chichapor...

Yum.

Love,
Jaclyn

P/S: Thanks mom, for also 'part-arranging' this 'cake saga'. Hehe. Love you+dad+smallgasghost.

Thank you, THANK YOU, thank you to ALL my dear friends- old, new, long lost- who took the effort in wishing me happy birthday whether by leaving me a message or giving me a call or SMSing me or however else. Appreciation all around . You don't know how little gestures like that make my day, and that is celebration enough.

Mom asked me to have a little dinner with friends to celebrate, but since I didn't feel like planning anything, I've decided to just chill at home. Something which may come as a surprise to you all, I seldom celebrate my birthday after the actual date because I am..wait for it.. quite pantang.like.that. Hahah. Could be a result of family upbringing, or one year which I clearly remember where I celebrated a few days late and that whole year certainly could have been a lot better. Don't laugh at me la, just one of my weird superstitious beliefs ma.

She also asked me to get myself a 'little present' so I present to you my choices:

Of course I'll have to get the largest size because I have so much junk. I sent her this pic because she had forgotten what it looked like and when she saw it she went, "wah so nice....i also wan la."          Aduh.     Anyways she's gonna check the price in Malaysia for me...wheee!!!!

So sexay, yes? o2 Atom.

There's another hottie. Dopod 838.

o2 Xda mini pro.

Dopod 900. I reckon this one's too expensive and heavy but look how sleek it is. Ooh.

And just because they're so freaking adorable ( not gonna get any of this as just too impractical for me):

Mom and sis actually wanted to get this for me but decided that it was just too chunky when worn so they decided against it in the end. Doesn't matter, the bracelet IS cute but I don't think I need any more lip glosses. Certainly not in Melbourne where the wind is strong like nobody's business. Hair sticking to lips is just so annoying. We have enough flies sticking to heads as it is.

Because I'm practical and boring, I think I'll decide between both of the phones as I really need one for all my stuff to do when I'm on the go. Although I really love the bag, too cute!*hinthinthinthinthint*

On another note, I think I want to start saving for my own house or apartment!! (With what money, you may ask. I can just tell you this- don't ask till I'm employed. Lol) So excited! Will let you know in x or xx years when it comes to fruition.

Marcus- I haven't been keeping up with your blog. I just read some of your latest entries and I wish you all the luck in the world. Sorry if I'm late I'm intent on taking up photography, now I just need money to get me a good camera to start off with. I'm inspired everytime I look at the pictures you take.

On a totally unrelated note, yes I fell on my tailbone whilst rollerblading but don't worry peeps, should be up and running in about 2-3 weeks. No, I'm not immobile...I rather not risk injuring myself again. I'm perfectly fine, just that putting on jeans is tres difficult now.
